Celebrate Christmas like the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Christmas is coming up, and to celebrate the return of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (exclusive to Lifetime), here's some tips on how to celebrate Christmas like a true Real Housewife.

Christmas is a time for family. Whether the festivities involve drinking yourself silly to get through the day or taking bets on how long it will take an elderly relative to realise they have gravy on their chin, most of us spend Christmas with those closest to us. And that's no different for a Real Housewife. Christmas is a time for them to stop the silly fighting, and take time to think about the important things in life.

The ladies of Beverly Hills don't do anything in half measures. Lisa Vanderpump is the queen of style and her house always looks like it's on the pages of an interior design catalogue. If you want to compete with them, you're going to have to go big or go home. Get the biggest tree you can find; take the roof off your house if you have to. Fill every room with decorations that are so sparkly that you have to walk around with sunglasses on. Make it so Santa can see your house from his sleigh in the clouds.

The Gifts
If you want to give gifts like the Housewives, you might want to start saving early. These ladies have expensive taste. Remember the $25,000 sunglasses? Why not go for something inspired by the Housewives? You could give someone some gift vouchers for one of Lisa Vanderpump's restaurants, or some clothes from Kyle Richards' boutique. If you have a Brandi in your life, alcohol is always a good choice. Some lip plumper could go a long way to making you look like Lisa Rinna.

Christmas Dinner
Your dinner must be fabulous. It has to look good, be served in an over-the-top way, and taste like it was prepared by the best personal chef. Just make sure you wait for the perfect moment to reveal a dramatic secret or throw a glass of wine in someone's face.

The Party
Christmas is the perfect time to host a party. Why don't you take a leaf out of Kyle's book and host a white party? You could give it a Christmassy twist and call it a snowman party. Once you sit down for parlour games, make the opposing teams sit on couches facing one another. This will really amp up the tension and make you all feel like you're in a Real Housewives reunion.
