You may think you know everything about Hillary Clinton after following her presidential bid, but here are some little known facts about the former presidential candidate.

  1. Clinton was born Hillary Diane Rodham at the stroke of midnight on 26th October 1947.
  2. She wanted to be an astronaut until she learned that NASA did not accept women in the 1950s and 1960s.
  1. Hillary married Bill Clinton in 1975. The two met while studying Law at Yale in 1971, and he proposed several times before Hillary accepted.
  2. Hillary has achieved a number of firsts in her political career. In 2000 she became the first First Lady to be elected to the Senate, representing the state of New York for eight years. She also became the first former First Lady to become Secretary of State, a job she held from 2009 to 2013. 
  3. At the time of its release, Clinton's first memoir 'Living History' became the fastest-selling non-fiction book of all time. It sold over 600,000 copies in its first week of release in the US in 2003.
